Jones Chapel : Work in Progress

The new Jones Chapel currently being built in Bentonville is still being built, and All AV is excited to be a part of this beautiful project. Final images will come, but here are a few shots of things to come. Those speakers look sweet; the painters color matched them perfectly and they are going to sound amazing.

The life of an AV tech is sometimes rough, you never know what filthy attic or musty basement you may end up in. But sometimes, you get to kick back a watch a couple of movies on a big screen in the name of work. All AV tech Allen got to do that very thing last night on the UofA mall. A large number of students arrived to watch a brace of movies on a 12′ screen sponsored by the UofA University Programs to help celebrate their Spring Carnival! Everyone had a good time and although Allen had to break down all that equipment after all the tired attendees went back to their dorms, we like to think he had a good time. All AV provided a 9×12 rear projection screen, a brace of powered speakers, and projector.

Helping to Appreciate Springdale’s Teachers

Last night was a big night for several faculty and staff members of the Springdale School system and All AV was on had to make sure they felt very appreciated. For a number of faculty members last night was a retirement celebration, for others the night was all about receiving grant money for new projects. All AV provided an 8×10 rear projection screen, a Fender 150 sound system, oak podium, and wireless mic to make the celebration special!

U of A College of Business Awards

Last night was the awards banquet celebrating the senior class members of the University of Arkansas’ Walton College of Business. Many awards were handed out by teachers to their students as well as lifetime achievement awards successful alumni. All AV was on hand to provide a brace of 9×12 screen with matching projectors, wireless mics, full sound support and onsite technical services.

Updating the Retreat Center

Just a quick picture of a job we did for the Mount Sequoyah retreat and conference center. While renovating an old building the folks at Mount Sequoyah tapped us to give a room a techie update in the form of a 42″ LCD monitor suspended above the ceiling above an antique fireplace. A pretty routine job that was made much more interesting by working in such an old building.

Bobby Horton Live in Concert

I had a great time working with Bobby Horton last night. The man is an encyclopedia of American Civil War songs and a great entertainer. The event was at the Shewmaker Center near the NWA Community College. All AV provided a pair of speakers, mixer, mics, and a thoroughly entertained AV technician.

Steve Forbes in Fort Smith

Back in Fort Smith for the second time in as many months! This time we were helping out our friends at the Fort Smith Chamber of Commerce to host editor in chief of Forbes Media, the man himself, Mr. Steve Forbes! All AV provided Da-Lite screens, Hitachi projectors, audio and video switchers / mixers, and wireless microphones. A special thanks to the staff at the Fort Smith Convention Center for all their help!

Arkansas Aerospace Summit

This year started off on a very interesting note. We were invited to provide audio/video/tech support to the Arkansas Aerospace Summit. The event was held at the Fort Smith Convention Center; we have done numerous events in the convention center in the past primarily in the smaller breakout rooms; this was the first time we had done anything in the main halls and wow, what a great facility. In attendance were numerous luminaries of the aerospace community including: Steve Hendricksonwith The Boeing Company, General Ben Robinson, and our very own Gov. Mike Beebe who is pictured below addressing the crowd. The main thrust of the event was uniting the aerospace industry with education to ensure a bright future for both fields. It was a two day event full of very interesting speakers who were genuinely passionate about their fields and we at All AV were glad to be a part of bringing that passion to the educators in attendance.

For this event All AV provided about ten wired / wireless microphones, audio and video switchers/mixers, two flown screens and two flown projectors, as well as a pair of smaller complete A/V systems for breakout rooms.

Here is a little bonus picture of the A-10 “Warthog” taken at one of the receptions for VIPs hosted by Fort Smith’s 188th Fighter Wing.

University of Arkansas Lady Back Gymnastics

A highlight of our year beginning is setting up for the Razorback gymnastics team. It is typically the largest size screen we set up over the year and one of the brightest projectors we get to play with! Good luck to the Lady Razorbacks

Saint Bernard Church

Church installs can sometimes be a real challenge. Let’s face it, when these buildings were built no one expected to have a projector dangling from the ceiling, or an electric screen dropping down in front of the baptistery; don’t even get me started on routing power or cabling. One thing that has made our lives easier as installers is the increased availability of short throw projectors in the marketplace. These are flowing into the system thanks to schools looking to integrate smart technology in classrooms, but we have had a great amount of success dropping these into churches. Below is an installation at Saint Bernard’s Catholic Church in Bella Vista, AR. They are very happy with the look of the install and ease of use, and we were happy to work with them.
